Ellen D. Lueking graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education from Greenville College (2014) and a Master's Degree in Physical Education and Coaching Pedagogy (2016) from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the Southern Illinois University School of Law (2020). During her time in law school, she served as the Illinois Summer Survey Editor for the Southern Illinois University Law Journal and President of OUTlaw.
Prior to attending law school, Ellen taught physical education at North Side Elementary School in Fairfield, Illinois, and coached volleyball at the middle school and high school in Fairfield.
During law school, Ellen worked as a law clerk at Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd. (2019). She also clerked at the Jackson County Public Defender's Officer (2018) and served as a Research Assistant for a professor in the Academic Success Program at the Southern Illinois University School of Law (2018-2019).
Ellen possesses an Observation Certificate for Child First Illinois forensic interview training provided by the Child Advocacy Centers of Illinois and the Zero Abuse Project.
