New Partner Announcement

Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd. is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2012, Brandon K. Wright was named partner in the firm. 

 

Brandon joined Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd. as a law clerk in 2003, and has been an Associate with the firm since 2005, representing school districts with particular emphasis on special education law.  In addition to serving school districts, Brandon has served on the staff as adjunct faculty in the Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale since the fall of 2011, where he teaches Illinois School Law.  He is a frequent speaker at local, regional and statewide conferences on school law topics, and continues to reach out as a resource to school administrators and school boards on a variety of legal topics.

 

Prior to becoming an associate at the firm of Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd., Brandon worked at the Regional Office of Education for Alexander, Johnson, Massac, Pulaski and Union Counties.  Brandon also served as a member of the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School Board of Education from 1999-2003, the youngest person to be elected to a school board in Illinois at that time.

 

Brandon earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication in 2001 from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where he graduated Summa cum Laude.  In 2004, he received both his Masters in Educational Organization and Leadership and his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
