James came to Miller Tracy in 2024 after 15 years at a boutique litigation firm in Indianapolis. As a litigator in Indiana, James tried cases to judges and juries in the Indiana State and Federal Courts and handled appeals to the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court. He was recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyer, Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, and as a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and the Indianapolis Bar Association.
James now represents school districts, individuals, and small companies in the Illinois State and Federal Courts. He was born and raised in Monticello, graduated from the University of Notre Dame, and obtained his J.D. from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Prior to attending law school, James worked in professional sports.
